Who is this course for? 🤔
This is a self-study course for absolute beginners in Serbian language. What is the self-study course? It is a course that enables you to study on your own, at your own pace. You can study from anywhere 🏝️ and at any time ⏰. All you need to do is log into our learning platform on the website and start studying.
Our Beginner Serbian Course takes you from your very first word to confidently handling everyday conversations — like ordering coffee, asking for directions, or saying “No thanks, I don’t need the menu in English.” 🙂
What will I learn in this course? 👨💻
You will learn foundational Serbian grammar and vocabulary. You have probably heard that the Serbian langauge has cases. Well, in this course we will teach you 4 out of 7 existing cases. You will also learn 2 out of 3 main tenses. You will learn personal pronouns (how to say I, you, he/she,…) and possessive pronouns (my, your, his/her,…). You will of course learn Serbian alphabet, how to read and write. We present all topics in a structured manner so that you build your knowledge gradually and with proper understanding (this is a major benefit of this course as opposed to e.g. watching videos for beginner Serbian on YouTube). Once a month we organize free conversation lessons. You can sign up for these lessons ahead of time and join us to practice Serbian with other students. The conversation lessons are centered around relevant topics and geared to students of all levels. It is your safe space to apply your knowledge, make mistakes, and learn from your teacher and other students.
We also have a closed Facebook group. You can use this group to ask questions about the course, and interact with other Go Speak Serbian students and teachers. We also publish exclusive content in this group that we do not share on other social media channels.
How can I buy the course? 🛒

- If you have not yet registered on our website, then you need to do that first. Click on the profile icon in the top right-hand corner, and create your account.
- Once you have created your account, you can select the course you want to buy and add it to the cart. You can pay with a credit/debit card or PayPal.
- After you complete the payment, click on the course webpage again and the course curriculum will unlock for you. You will also receive an email confirming your payment and providing instructions on how to access the course.

I am just getting started but so far I really love the Go Speak Serbian beginner course. It is very affordable and a great value – I feel like you’ve provided so many great resources for getting started learning the Serbian language in a fun way. I also really like that it’s set up so I can go at my own pace. I can take the lessons whenever I want, repeat them, and skip around.
I like the convenience and ease of use. I am trying to teach myself and my children and the material seems to be engaging for them. I like getting the email reminders because we forget about it with our busy schedule.
For the basic level it’s very useful compared to other sources or application. The way the teacher explains the subjects in videos are catchy. So for the upcoming levels I can’t wait.
I love how comprehensive the course is. I love the worksheets with the audio files. The owners are extremely responsive with questions and they were very willing to help. Definitely worth the price you pay. However, I would love to see more worksheets for each unit and do more practices with audios.
Just finished the Beginners course and it has been so much fun learning and teaching myself a new language. I am able to say little things here and there to my Baba now and I am also slowly starting to understand Serbian Music better when I listen. So much learning material is provided. I used to follow GSS’s videos on Instagram and YouTube. When I took the Beginner course, I realized that they were masters of their field. The course is definitely worth the money you pay. Also, since I took the course once, I can attend free conversation lessons once a month. Thanks to this, I also learn a lot about Serbian culture.
