This self-study course is perfect for learners who have already finished the beginner level of Serbian, whether with us or somewhere else. What is the self-study course? It is a course that enables you to study on your own, at your own pace. You can study from anywhere 🏝️ and at any time ⏰. All you need to do is log into our learning platform on the website and start studying.
Our Pre-intermediate course takes you from “Malo govorim srpski (= I speak Serbian a bit)” to “Mogu da razumem srpski dobro (= I can understand Serbian well).
What will I learn in this course? 👨💻
You will expand your knowledge to gain confidence when listening and speaking to others. Building on the knowledge from the beginner course, we 6 out of 7 cases in this course. Besides using all three tenses (the present, past and future), we will also talk about the verbal aspect in Serbian (for example, the difference between čitati and pročitati knjigu 📖). You will also learn how to give orders and instructions using imperative (dodaj mi so! = pass me the salt!) and how to talk about your wishes using conditional (Volela bih da posetim Japan = I would like to visit Japan). We present all topics in a structured manner so that you build your knowledge gradually and with proper understanding (this is a major benefit of this course as opposed to, e.g. watching videos for beginner Serbian on YouTube). Once a month we organize free conversation lessons. You can sign up for these lessons ahead of time and join us to practice Serbian with other students. The conversation lessons are centered around relevant topics and geared to students of all levels. It is your safe space to apply your knowledge, make mistakes, and learn from your teacher and other students.
We also have a closed Facebook group. You can use this group to ask questions about the course, and interact with other Go Speak Serbian students and teachers. We also publish exclusive content in this group that we do not share on other social media channels.
How can I buy the course? 🛒

I love the Go Speak Serbian course. I took it after the basic one, and both together they give all necessary language knowledge: cases, verb forms, and main vocabulary themes. I have been screening the internet for good material to learn the Serbian language for a while now. I started with the Go Speak Serbian pre-intermediate course, and I think their courses are the best learning materials I’ve found. I expected to take a few months to finish, but I enjoyed it so much that I was done with the course in about a month. I especially needed practice reading and listening with longer texts, and this course was perfect with continuous storylines following the same characters which were easy to follow and also fun and interesting.

I’ve done several beginner level Serbian courses but never quite got the foundations down, now I’m actually speaking with my mom in Serbian. This course keeps things interesting and gives a lot of context and words that people use in real life. Can’t wait for the next level to come out!
